SC UpLift Receives $125,000 to Support Hurricane Helene Recovery in Aiken and Edgefield Counties

SC UpLift Community Outreach is honored to announce that we have received $125,000 in funding to support Hurricane Helene recovery efforts in Aiken and Edgefield Counties. This investment allows us to continue our mission of providing critical housing support to families impacted by the storm.

This funding is made possible through the Hurricane Helene Community Crisis Fund at the Community Foundation for the CSRA, whose commitment to community recovery is helping ensure that vulnerable households receive the support they need.

Prioritizing the Most Vulnerable Households

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, many families were left dealing with significant damage to their homes, particularly to roofing systems and essential HVAC units. For households already facing financial challenges, these repairs can be difficult to manage without assistance.

With this funding, SC UpLift will focus on serving households with the greatest housing vulnerabilities, providing critical repairs that directly impact safety, comfort, and long-term stability.

Restoring Safety and Stability

Through this initiative, SC UpLift will provide:

    •    Roof replacements to protect homes from further damage

    •    HVAC system repairs and replacements to restore safe and livable conditions

These improvements are essential to ensuring that families can return to secure and healthy living environments. By addressing these urgent needs, we are helping residents not only recover, but rebuild with confidence.
