SC UpLift Community Outreach is proud to announce that we have received $55,000 in funding to support Hurricane Helene recovery efforts in rural South Carolina. This critical funding will directly assist homeowners in Union and Fairfield Counties who were impacted by the storm.
This initiative is funded by the One SC Fund, in partnership with Central Carolina Community Foundation, and represents a meaningful investment in helping communities rebuild stronger and safer.
Supporting Homeowners in Need
Hurricane Helene left many families facing unexpected damage to their homes, particularly to roofing structures that are essential for safety and stability. For many income-eligible homeowners, especially in rural areas, the cost of repairs can be overwhelming.
Through this funding, SC UpLift will focus on replacing damaged roofs for qualifying homeowners, ensuring that families can return to safe, secure living environments. Roof replacement is more than a repair—it restores protection, prevents further damage, and provides peace of mind.
Strengthening Rural Communities
Rural communities are often among the hardest hit during natural disasters and the slowest to recover due to limited resources. This funding allows SC UpLift to bridge that gap by delivering direct, impactful services where they are needed most.
By addressing critical housing needs, we are not only restoring homes but also helping families maintain stability, preserve their property, and move forward with confidence.
A Collaborative Effort
SC UpLift is honored to carry out this work in collaboration with partners who share our commitment to community impact. The support from the One SC Fund and the Central Carolina Community Foundation reflects a shared vision of strengthening communities through timely and effective disaster recovery.
Their investment ensures that vulnerable homeowners are not left behind and that recovery efforts reach those who need it most.
Looking Ahead
At SC UpLift, our mission is rooted in uplifting communities through housing support, financial education, and long-term stability. This funding allows us to continue that mission during a critical time of recovery.
We remain committed to serving families with dignity, providing essential resources, and creating lasting impact across South Carolina.
