At SC UpLift Community Outreach, we're passionate about building stronger, more stable communities—and that begins with preserving the homes and legacies that families have worked hard to create. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our latest initiative: thanks to generous funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, SC UpLift will now be offering expanded support to families struggling with heirs’ property and tangled title issues.

When a home is passed down through generations without a clear title or proper legal documentation, it becomes what’s known as heirs’ property. Without a formal title, families can face challenges securing home repairs, qualifying for financial assistance, or even

protecting the property from tax sales or outside claims. Through this new program, SC UpLift will assist families in resolving these issues and securing legal ownership—a vital step in protecting generational wealth, preventing displacement, and creating long-term housing security for underserved households.

We’re deeply grateful to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta for their investment in our mission and their continued commitment to community empowerment. If you or someone you know is facing heirs’ property challenges, we encourage you to reach out today. You can email us at info@scuplift.org or message us on our Facebook page to learn how to get started.

Let’s work together to protect what matters most—family, legacy, and home.
