Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP)

SC UpLift Community Outreach is thrilled to announce its selection as a recipient of a $2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP). This transformative funding will enhance the lives of aging adults in Chester, Fairfield and Union counties by making critical home modifications that promote safety, accessibility, and comfort, enabling seniors to age in place with dignity.

SC UpLift Community Outreach is committed to helping aging adults live safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes. Through our home modification program, we offer free upgrades that enhance safety, accessibility, and overall quality of life. These modifications may include things like grab bars, wheelchair ramps, improved lighting, walk-in showers, and other essential improvements that reduce fall risks and increase mobility.
